so who's a Christian?

I have been thinking alot about this thing that everyone seems to love called grace. I always hear people mainly conservative Christians talk about oh grace this and oh grace that, I'm saved by grace and Jesus' grace was so abundant. Well I think there needs to be a clarification to all this. It is the idea of grace that saves us. God has grace and because of this He gives of the OPportunity to be saved, grace doesn't save us, it gives us the opportunity to be saved. If you believe predestination, well my friend, the topic isn't going to go your way at all, so you could continue reading or just skip to the next post. But back to what i was saying...Grace is God giving you the opportunity to be saved, not saving you. God saved you when He had Jesus die on the cross, that was what saved us as people. So when you say salvation is all about grace, well its just not all about grace. Salvation is the gift that God gives to you when u Believe that Jesus is real, died for your sins, rose from the grave, and continues to live in Heaven today. Then you are given Salvation. Its not until you Believe!!!! So how can I tell that you truly Believe in Jesus? Well actions speak louder than words my friend. When you talk to God, when you listen to God, when you Obey what God tells you, then I know that you truly believe in God and His gift. You see, salvation isn't a gift of good will.....its a relationship with God, or specifically in human terms, its a marriage to God. When a person becomes a Christian, he takes a vow to Listen, Talk, Obey, and Trust God with his entire life, kinda like you would to a spouse. The only difference is in layman's terms: God has the pants in this relationship. He tells you what he wants you to do like go on a short-term mission trip, or attend a certain university or college, or become a member and partaker of a local church, or even teach or preach to people you don't even know. This is what it means to be a Christian, to do be in a specific and real relationship with Christ. I shouldn't have to tell you what isn't a relationship with Christ because you know what isn't, but you may not know what is. So what are u going to do now? Are u going to pursue a real relationship with Christ? Are you going to take Him seriously? Or are u going to read this post and pass it off as just nonsense because your too scared to make that commitment to God. I hope you will pursue a real relationship with Christ because He is waiting for you to, He has so much in store for you that what I say here couldn't possibly begin to describe the blessings and growth He has for you.
