A gift?

So christmas was just 25 hours ago and now I am thinking of gifts and money. I have been blessed over the years, but sometimes I wonder why I'm blessed when I don't feel the need to be. Attending college has made me fully aware of financial needs and I wonder how God will meet those needs all the time. He gives me good gifts here and there, but why not when I need them? why not at the beginning of the school year or throughout the year? I owe my school enough money, but the money I owe will be paid off soon. When I start to think of next year I get down and wonder how will God do something then? what will happen? why can't I see a little bit of it now? I have a hard time trusting God with the future. I believe He can do these things, but I am unsure of how. Proverbs 3: 5-6, a common verse, says "trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not on your own understanding." I feel like this is sometimes the toughest thing to do at times. I'm a visual person and I have to see things to believe them sometimes. But at this moment I put this issue into God's hands and now I hope that His plan will be revealed soon enough. I hope to serve him faithfully over the next semester and maybe God will work there and renew my faith when its weak. so what about you? Do you really trust God that He can lead you through troubled waters? He can for Philippians says"All things are possible through Christ Jesus our Lord." I hope that you can truly believe that because God wants to supply all your needs and take care of all your problems. If you don't think so, I challenge you to pray to God or Jehovah, the god of the Christians, daily for 2 weeks about five main issues you have, and you will truly see that He wants to help you out. You will be blessed if you do.

Fear and Slavery

I'm sorry that i haven't been readily posting new blogs everyday. I post when I feel like it and some days I feel like it, but then get distracted. Right now I am going to talk about Fear and how it plays a significant role in our lives.

Fear is living in dread or apprehension because something makes us feel uncomfortable. Most of us have some kind of fear whether it be clowns or snakes or spiders or something very paranormal or something like cancer. Whatever it may be fear is very common in our daily lives. Now the origin of Fear is from the Fall and a product of the Devil who uses our imaginations and comforts to work against us. He tells us that this Fear(whatever it may be) will keep us from ever becoming the person that God wants us to be. That we are going to be held back because it is impossible to overcome and thus we should just give up because we are not good enough or strong enough. But I tell you that fear is the Devil's greatest weapon, because when we are fearful, we are vulnerable and now he can manipulate us in any way he wants. When you give in to fear you become a slave to it and ultimately a slave to the Devil. First off. why would you want to be enslaved at all? Don't you see that Fear is of no help to you at all? That's why God says in Joshua 1:8-9 that we should be "Strong and Courageous" which is the total opposite of fear. Showing courage is standing against fear and facing it. Luke 12:5 says who we should fear " But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him." As Christians we should fear God only otherwise we are cheating ourselves because the only thing that can hurt us is God. What about poisons or animals or weapons? Can't they hurt us? Well I pose this question: Can't God cure or save us? Now the question becomes a matter of faith and trust in God. Think about this question proposed in Romans 8:31 "If God is for us, who can be against us?" Ponder this idea. If God is on your side then who can be your enemy? No one, not even the Devil. Not a single person or thing can hurt you if God is on your side, so why should you fear at all? I pose this question to you, the reader: Is Fear enslaving you? Or are you aware that God wants you to be confident in all that you do because He is there by your side in everything that you do. Don't let Fear take control of your life, you can be confident because God is on your side.

opening statements

This blog is just a reflection of my thoughts about certain ideas. I don't expect the reader to agree with them, but I do expect the reader to respect them. I have been feeling the Holy Spirit moving and I will try to weekly write something that the Holy Spirit lays on my heart. Their is a comment section for each blog so feel free to comment on each blog, but don't say something that would be encouraging of debate. I am not here to debate, I am here to say what I feel God is telling me is right. With all that said I hope you enjoy and may God move you to a new spiritual level and begin to use you as well.
